Bluestar Machinery Propylene Compressor Secondary Inhaler Launches
On October 17, Sichuan Bluestar Machinery Co. successfully completed the equipment supply for the 1.2 million-ton-per-year ethylene project at Dushanzi Petrochemical. This major project marks a significant milestone in the company's development and its growing role in the domestic petrochemical industry.
The contract included critical components such as two propylene compressor sections, three-stage suction tanks, and various drying systems including cracking gas condensate dryers, protection dryers, and hydrogen dryers. The total contract value exceeded 11 million yuan, highlighting the scale and importance of this collaboration.
One of the standout pieces of equipment is the second section of the propylene compressor, which measures 17.6 meters in length, has a diameter of 4.5 meters, and weighs 51 tons. Its successful installation not only ensured timely delivery of the project but also demonstrated Bluestar Machinery's technical capabilities and commitment to quality.
This project represents a key step forward for Bluestar Machinery in achieving localization, large-scale production, and serialization of ethylene equipment. As the petrochemical industry continues to evolve, such advancements are crucial for reducing dependency on foreign technology and strengthening China’s industrial self-reliance.
Dushanzi Petrochemical's project involves a total investment of 25 billion yuan, focusing on expanding its oil refining capacity and upgrading its ethylene production to 1.2 million tons per year. The project incorporates eight world-renowned patents, with much of the advanced technical equipment sourced from leading international companies like Germany’s Linde and the U.S.-based Shaw Group’s Shiwei Company. Despite this, the involvement of Chinese firms like Bluestar Machinery underscores the country’s growing influence and capability in high-tech industrial projects.
