Chicago 2-11 Alarm fire, 2-7-14
Tim Olk and Josh Boyajian were there when the major fire broke out in Chicago last Friday at 2521 W.45th Place. According to the Chicago Tribune, this location is now considered a crime scene.
The situation turned grim when firefighters discovered the body of a woman who had been stabbed multiple times inside one of the buildings engulfed by the flames. It happened in the afternoon on the Southwest Side. The victim, identified as Lucy Wrobel, 51, was found dead at the scene. Authorities believe the fire may have been deliberately set in the same building where her body was discovered.
Firefighters received the call around 1:50 p.m., responding to what quickly escalated into a 2-11 alarm fire. This classification indicates that the blaze spread across several structures, making the situation extremely dangerous for both the victims and first responders. The Cook County medical examiner's office is still conducting an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
