About two months ago, Delfast first announced the start of designing and developing a three-wheeled electric bike, the Trike, as part of a grant received from the USAID program "Competitive Economy of Ukraine" (KEU). Today, the electric bike brand is sharing technical specifications of its upcoming model. According to Chief Engineer Sergey Goncharov, the Trike features a completed electric frame with a rear motor delivering 750W power and a 48V 40ah lithium-ion battery. It also includes Wellgo pedals, a chainset crank, and lights. Notably, this electric vehicle is fully waterproof, making cleaning easy and maintenance hassle-free. Shown above is the trike's frame, which has already been tested in the CAD system. This isn't a 3D model but an actual construction of the future Trike with specified materials and manufacturing technologies. "We run simulations based on this frame, testing various loads, observing the overall weight of the trike, and mounting other components of the electric bike using the software," Goncharov said. The engineering team is currently at the design stage. Moreover, the Trike can travel up to 120 km or 75 miles without recharging, making it an excellent transportation solution for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs. Specifically designed for them, the Trike allows small businesses and individual entrepreneurs to deliver their goods to hard-to-reach areas that are inaccessible to regular transport. Additionally, the Trike can carry up to 300 kg or 660 lbs of cargo. Practically anything can be transported using this e-tricycle. Even if you're not planning to move quickly in difficult terrain, the Trike can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h or 25 mph.
