Just under two months ago, Delfast first announced the start of designing and developing its three-wheeled electric bike, Trike, as part of a grant received from the USAID program titled "Competitive Economy of Ukraine" (KEU).

Today, the electric bike brand is sharing technical details about the upcoming model. According to Chief Engineer Sergey Goncharov, Trike features a completed electric frame with a rear motor rated at 750W and a 48V 40ah lithium-ion battery.

In addition, it comes equipped with Wellgo pedals, a chain-driven crankset, and lights. Notably, this electric vehicle is fully waterproof, making cleaning and general maintenance easy.

Shown above is the trike's frame, which has already been tested in CAD software. This isn't a 3D model but an actual design of the future Trike with specified materials and manufacturing techniques. "We run simulations based on this frame, test various loads, determine the overall weight of the trike, and install other components of the electric bike using the software," Goncharov said. The engineering team is currently in the stage of construction.

Moreover, Trike can travel up to 120 km or 75 miles on a single charge, making this electric bike an excellent transportation solution for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs. Specifically designed for these groups, Trike aims to help small businesses and private entrepreneurs deliver goods to hard-to-reach areas where conventional vehicles struggle to operate.

Beyond that, Trike can carry up to 300 kg or 660 lbs of cargo. Practically anything can be transported using this e-trike. And even if you don’t plan to move quickly through challenging terrain, Trike can reach speeds of up to 40 km/h or 25 mph when needed.
