Car into a building in Chicago, 2-28-21
On the early morning of February 28th, I captured these images near the 4500 block of North Austin. The photos were taken the following day. I've never seen a car jammed into the corner of a building like this before—it’s quite striking when you look closely. What surprised me even more was that the Chicago Fire Department (CFD) left the scene to a contractor for removal. I would have been concerned about potential fire hazards or structural collapse. I wasn’t present to witness what led up to this, so I can't offer much more than an observer’s perspective. But I thought these pictures were worth sharing.
