Tinley Park barn fire 4-3-12

On April 3, 2012, around midnight, Tinley Park Fire Department was called to a reported silo fire in the 7300 block of 191st Street, located in unincorporated Will County. Upon arrival, Truck Company 204 found an abandoned barn fully engulfed and spreading to an attached silo. Engine Company 202 quickly deployed their deck gun to begin suppression efforts, while crews advanced three handlines to tackle the fire and prevent it from spreading to a nearby smaller shed. Additional support came from mutual-aid units from Frankfort, Mokena, Country Club Hills, and Hazel Crest. The scene was intense, with flames roaring through the structure and smoke filling the air. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and protect surrounding areas. The photos below capture key moments from the incident, including Engine Co. 202 using the deck gun, firefighters advancing lines, and the aftermath of the fire.
