New engine for Monee
Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share some exciting news about the Monee Fire Department’s new engine. This is what Martin Nowak had to say:
"Engine 567 – 2014 Pierce Arrow XT 1500/1000/50/50 has officially replaced Engine 562 – 1994 Pierce Saber, which we’ll be selling soon. I’ve got to say, this new rig is a game-changer! It's been quite a process getting it all set up, but I think the team and I have done an amazing job capturing its essence through these photos.
The new engine is equipped with top-of-the-line features that make it not only more efficient but also safer for our firefighters. It was a big step-up from the older model, and I’m proud to see how much technology has advanced in such a short time. I’ve added a few pictures below to give you a better look at the new engine. The first couple were taken by Martin Nowak himself, and the rest are by Kevin Griffin. As you can see, the attention to detail is incredible.

It’s always bittersweet saying goodbye to an old friend like Engine 562, but Engine 567 is here now, ready to serve the community and protect lives. There’s something special about seeing these machines evolve over the years, and I’m grateful to be part of a department that values progress and safety.
