First, the installation method

1 , the installation position

The distance from the tank wall is recommended to be 1/6 - 1/4 of the tank diameter ( at least 300mm , at least 400mm for concrete tanks ). Do not install in the middle of the metal tank. Do not install at the feeding port. When selecting the probe length, pay attention to the distance from the bottom of the probe to the bottom of the tank. More than 30mm attention to the medium temperature

3 , removal of interference

Interference echo suppression: The software can achieve suppression of interference echoes to achieve ideal measurement effects. Bypass tubes and waveguides (for liquids only) For viscosity not up to 500 cst , use bypass tubes, waveguides or Tube to avoid interference.

4 , liquid standard installation

For a medium with a viscosity of ≤500 cSt and less adhesion, the tube probe is a good solution. Its characteristics are as follows:

Excellent reliability can be used for any medium with a dielectric constant equal to or greater than 1.4 . Measurement is independent of the conductivity of the dielectric. Second, troubleshooting

1 , probe knots and frequent troubleshooting methods

The first method is to increase the installation position of the probe, but sometimes the installation conditions are limited and cannot be improved. The method of interlocking the level measurement value with the pump of the tank should be adopted to solve this problem: The bit set value is reduced by about 0.5m . When the liquid level reaches this maximum value, the discharge pump can be stopped or opened.

2 , on the impact of foam on the measurement

Dry foam and wet foam can reflect radar waves back and have no effect on measurement. Neutral foam absorbs and diffuses radar waves, which seriously affects echo reflections and even no echoes. When the surface of the medium is a thick, thick foam, the measurement error is large or cannot be measured. Under this working condition, the radar level gauge has no advantage, which is a limitation of its application.

3 , for the treatment of antenna scars

A material with a small dielectric constant has no effect on the measurement in the dry state, and a material with a high dielectric constant has an influence on the measurement. It can be purged with compressed air (or clean water), and the cooled compressed air can reduce the temperature of the flange and electrical components. An alkaline cleaning solution can also be used to clean alkaline crusts, but level measurement cannot be performed during cleaning.

4 , the corresponding treatment method flooded

The solution to this problem is to change the radar level gauge to a waveguide type measurement. The waveguide type radar level gauge is still installed at the original opening, and the waveguide is higher than about 0.2m from the exhaust pipe. This will not cause liquid to flow even if the slurry overflows from the exhaust pipe. The meter antenna is submerged by the slurry, and the stirrer eddy currents are prevented from interference and a large amount of steam emerges from the probe, which reduces the damage to the probe. At the same time, since the waveguide is well focused and the received radar wave signal is stronger, the signal is obtained. A good measurement effect.
