On Tuesday afternoon, Buffalo Grove firefighters responded to a residential fire on Middleton Court. Upon arrival, they observed heavy smoke billowing from the front door and roof vents, prompting the alarm to be upgraded to a working fire. Additional fire companies from Long Grove, Lincolnshire-Riverwoods, and Arlington Heights were dispatched to support the scene, while more units arrived at local fire stations in Buffalo Grove. Firefighters reported that the fire originated in a room and had begun spreading into the hallway during their initial interior attack. Crews worked quickly to contain the flames and prevent further damage. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
