Because plastic gears have the advantages of low transmission noise, vibration absorption, self-lubricating, and high efficiency in mold processing. In recent years, more and more applications of plastic gears in the gear industry have become a worldwide trend.

However, at present, the middle and low gear molds can be produced in China, and high-grade gear molds rely on imports. There are not many factories that specialize in gear molds in China, and most of them are made by gear factories themselves. In the application range of gear molds, the demand for plastic gear molds is relatively large, and the market has great potential.

Related experts in the industry put forward three strategies for future development:

First, to speed up industrial restructuring; In the future development, the gear mold industry must first pay more attention to the strategic adjustment of its product structure, so that the structure of high-precision molds with high precision to get faster development. Second, to speed up the implementation of industry standards; At present, there is no national standard for the processing of gear molds, and there is no existing industrial standard, especially in the plastic gear mold. Technical standards are a relatively open standard. However, it is very difficult to make product standards. It is necessary to consider various aspects such as experimental standards, accuracy standards, and test device standards for gear molds.

Third, to strengthen the density of cooperation between industries; the development of modern industry is a mutually cooperative relationship, which is equally important for the gear mold industry. This kind of cooperation is based on the direct cooperation of industry research. For example, several universities are studying gear molds, focusing on the strength of gear industry and some university research institutions, and doing integration research and cooperation on process and equipment, plastic internal deformation laws, and so on.

At the same time, from the perspective of the entire industry, the sound of gear molds is very small and it is in a spontaneous state, and the establishment of related professional associations is precisely to change this situation. This is to focus on exploring and resolving the problems in the production of small module gears so as to promote the development of the domestic precision gear mold industry.

Under the trend of great development in the gear industry, especially the plastic gear industry, the response to market changes in the country is not sensitive enough. It is difficult for supporting research to keep pace with market demands. The domestic precision gear molds still need to be in line with the development level of the world's gear molds.
