Dalian LNG project starts construction

On April 18, the opening ceremony of the Dalian LNG project, a key project of the national “Eleventh Five-Year” LNG project development plan, was held at the construction site of the receiving station in Dalian, Liaoning Province, marking the first LNG project of CNPC. Construction officially started.
The Dalian LNG project consists of three parts: terminal, receiving station and gas pipeline. The total investment exceeds 10 billion yuan. The wharf and receiving station are located in the Bay of Catfish, Dagushan Peninsula, Dalian. The LNG terminal can hold 140,000 to 270,000 cubic meters of large-scale LNG carriers. The receiving station covers an area of ​​24 hectares and is constructed in two phases. The first-phase construction scale is 3 million tons/year, and the gas supply capacity is 4.2 billion cubic meters. In meters/year, the total investment exceeds RMB 7.5 billion, and it is planned to be completed and put into operation in early 2011. The second-phase construction scale is 6 million tons/year, the gas supply capacity is 8.4 billion cubic meters/year, the maximum receiving capacity of the receiving station can reach 7.8 million tons/year, and the maximum gas supply capacity can reach 10.3 billion cubic meters/year. Gas pipelines consist of Dalian to Shenyang main lines, Dalian branch lines, and Fushun branch lines.
