Auto parts remanufacturing technology can save more than 70% of materials

Looking at a car without a license plate, scrapped cars were dismembered, recycling companies only get scrap, rubber. Is this a huge waste in today's resource-saving society? Recently, the National Development and Reform Commission officially released the “Administrative Measures for the Remanufacturing of Auto Parts and Pilots”, which is expected to solve this problem.

The "remanufacturing" of auto parts is mainly through the use of advanced techniques such as cleaning, repair and surface treatment, so that used parts and components can achieve the same performance as new products. This means that if you can “inherit” 70% of the added value of the old product, the wear compensation requires only 1-2% of the bulk material, and the quality and performance of the “remanufactured” component can meet or exceed the prototype new product, and the overall cost will not exceed 50% new products. Such rapid use of waste will save 60% of energy and save more than 70% of materials, achieving the purpose of resource conservation and environmental protection.

What is even more crucial is that relevant experts pointed out that the production cost of “remanufactured” parts is quite low, and its use value is comparable to that of new products, but the price is only less than half of that of new products. If a large area is put into the market, it will effectively solve the problem of high cost of car maintenance and reduce the burden on vehicle owners.

It is understood that the National Development and Reform Commission has already passed the first batch of 14 auto parts remanufactured “pilot companies” and stipulated that “remanufacture” is currently only applied to the “five components” component of used cars. It is reported that two provinces Dongfeng Hongtai and Dongfeng Cummins have become "remanufacturing" pilot bases.
