Michelin joins Fivet in metal 3D printing

Michelin and Fives (Fives) recently announced the establishment of a joint venture, it aims to use "metal additive manufacturing" technology, namely metal 3D printing technology, promote research and development in the global industrial machinery and the establishment of production plants.

According to an agreement signed on September 4, 2015 between the Michelin Group CEO Jean-Dominique Senard and the Fives Group Executive Committee Chairman Frederic SANCHEZ, the new company FIVESMICHELINADDITIVESOLUTIONS (French Michelin additive solution) will be set by Fives Both Michelin and Michelin hold 50% of the equity and will benefit from the establishment of at least 25 million euros of financial capital in the first three years of the initial period.
