Michelin recently signed a cooperation agreement with XCMG and officially became the tire supplier for the XCMG large-scale loader. This is the first time that the company has become a contracted supplier of large-scale loader tire products for Chinese domestic manufacturing companies.
According to the contract, Michelin will supply XCMG with a full range of tire products, such as Michelin XHA2 for general road conditions and Michelin XLDD2 for loaders operating in harsh environments.
Yang Dongsheng, vice president of XCMG Group and general manager of Xugong LHD Machinery Division, stated that “in the large loader sector, Michelin is the first non-Chinese tire supplier of our choice. Michelin has been collaborating with Xugong Group since 2004 and was once the first tire supplier for the latter's all-terrain cranes. The cooperation between the two parties has gradually expanded to other business areas.
