Fujitsu Introduces 4th Generation Small Car Relays to Reduce Size by Nearly 30%

Fujitsu Components America has released its fourth-generation ultra-small automotive relay FTR-G1 for electric motors. The product is 28% smaller than the previous generation FTR-P3 and uses a two-piece combination process to reduce product costs.

According to reports, FTR-G1 is a PCB-mounted, 1 form C single relay that can connect 25A load at 14Vdc, suitable for high surge applications, such as electric door and window switches, automatic doors, door locks, adjustable seats. Chairs and intermittent wipers. Since the device is mounted inside the module, the noise level does not exceed 60dB.

The FTR-G1 measures 13.7 x 6.6 x 13.5 mm and its unique pin layout helps to reduce the size of the relay while preserving sufficient insulation for a simplified PCB layout. The relay coil power is 640mW and is RoHS compliant.

Ordering quantities of 10,000 or more, the FTR-G1 relay is priced at $1.80.
