Zhoushan City continues to increase investment in highway infrastructure

In 2011, Zhoushan City completed a 2.62 billion yuan investment in highway infrastructure, an increase of 14.2% over the previous year. The first phase of the Beixiang Shugang Highway Project, the expansion of the Zhujiajian Bridge on the 329 National Road, the interchange of the 329 National Highway and the 73 Provincial Highway, and the main project of the Jinkou Island Interchange to the Dapukou Shugang Highway have been completed, and the rapid passage of Zhoushan Island has been promoted. The preparatory work effectively improved the city's road network capacity and patency. In 2012, Zhoushan City will, in accordance with the overall deployment of the three-year action plan for traffic construction, fully promote highway infrastructure construction projects, continue to expand the scale of highway construction, and strive to complete a 3.5 billion yuan investment in highway infrastructure throughout the year.
