The principle of the roller drill and its components

The basic working principle of the roller rig is: when drilling, the slewing mechanism drives the drilling tool to rotate, and the pressing mechanism applies the shaft pressure to the bottom of the hole, and the rotary air supply mechanism introduces the compressed air into the hollow drill pipe, and then the nozzle of the drill bit is sprayed. To the bottom of the hole, the rock that breaks the roller bit is blown out of the hole along the annular space between the rod and the wall of the hole. After drilling a blasthole, start the walking mechanism to displace the rig and drill another blasthole, as shown in Figure 1.

From the working principle of the roller drilling, it can be seen that the roller rig must have the main mechanisms such as rotary, pressurization, lifting, walking, and unloading of drilling tools, as well as hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and other systems. Therefore, its composition is similar to that of heavy duty open-air drilling machines. The rig is installed on the tracked vehicle as a whole, and the body is composed of a drill stand, a frame and a hangar. In addition to the rotary tool of the drilling tool, the loading and unloading mechanism, the drill pipe frame, the hydraulic chuck, the pressure tensioning equalizer, etc. are mounted on the drill frame, other mechanisms and devices of the drilling machine are mounted on the platform of the frame, such as the transmission mechanism. Main and auxiliary air compressors and radiators, oil pumping stations and oiling devices, electric gas valve stations, machine shed purification devices, hydraulic jacks and dust removal devices, etc., as shown in Figure 2.
