Chicago Still Alarm 2-9-12

Josh Boyajian was on the scene tonight as Chicago Fire Department units responded to a still alarm at 6220 S. Austin Ave around 7 p.m. Here's what he observed and captured: Chicago was called to a still alarm at a 1.5-story single-family home. Upon arrival, Engine 127 spotted smoke coming from the attic. Truck 60 took control of Sector 1 and began laddering the roof, while Engine 32 led a line with Engine 127. Josh took several photos to give a better sense of what happened on the scene. Here are some of the images he captured: - Truck 60 connected the main line to the roof. - Engine 127 was seen leading a hose line. - Engine 32 was also seen deploying lines. - Engine 127 tapped into a hydrant to support the operation. The fire crew worked quickly to contain the situation, and it seems like the response was well-coordinated. The neighborhood remained safe, and no injuries were reported. It’s always good to see the firefighters in action and doing their job effectively.
